Health Literacy is the degree to which individuals can find, understand, and use information and services to make informed health-related decisions and actions for themselves and others. It is important that individuals have a high degree of health literacy to not only know how to access information but also understand the information and services given to them that relate to their health. Being health literate gives individuals the independence needed to make their own decisions about health-related information or services.
We are working in Pine Bluff to increase health literacy awareness not only for healthcare services and information but also in the areas that are urgent including COVID-19, vaccinations, and combating major health issues faced within the community.
