Empowerment Group
The Advancing Health Literacy Program of Pine Bluff Empowerment Group is a group of individuals 18 or older that participate in writing in a journal that will help you record the information you need to make good health decisions and have productive conversations with your healthcare provider. Our hope is that it will empower you with the tools you need to manage your healthcare experience and help us assess your health literacy with the local health providers.

Take our preassessment
We will give you a journal that will guide you in preparing for your next doctor's visit.

SCHEDULING YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT AND PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT
3. Once you receive an empowerment journal you will have a page to list any questions or concerns you may have before your visit
4. Upon your visit bring your journal to recall those questions and take notes from your visit.

COMPLETE JOURNAL AND POST ASSESSMENT
Once you complete your doctor's visit we want to know what you learned and experienced from your doctor visit. This information will also be used to assess healthcare practices for healthcare providers in Pine Bluff! Once the journal is complete we will offer participants a $25 visa gift card!
