Get Active to Feel Better

BE A PART OF REAL CHANGE

The Advancing Health Literacy Program is challenging the Pine Bluff community to get active!

  

For adults, 30 minutes of activity every day can keep you from developing diseases like:

  • Diabetes

  • High blood pressure

  • Obesity 

It can even improve your mood by reducing:

  • Stress

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

Not only will you live longer, but you will also feel better every day. 

It's Fun to Get Active 

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO GET 30 MINUTES OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, LIKE:

  • Riding a bike

  • Walking a dog

  • Dancing

  • Playing Sports

  • Cleaning you house

  • Running 

  • Bowling

The Get Active Challenge 

POST A PHOTO OR VIDEO OF YOURSELF GETTING ACTIVE ON FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, AND TIKTOK WITH #GETACTIVEPB. SHOW OFF YOUR FAVORITE FITNESS ROUTINES AND GET FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO JOIN THE MOVEMENT!

PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN OUT EVERY MONTH TO RANDOM PARTICIPANTS WHO POST ON THESE SITES USING THE HASHTAG.

Healthy eating can also help you feel better and live longer. Adults should avoid consuming more than 2,300 grams of sodium each day to prevent high blood pressure. To prevent diabetes, men should avoid consuming more than 36 grams of sugar and women should avoid 24 grams each day.
